Crazy times......

So much has happened since I last posted.

Makala and Luke started school on the 24th of August. Makala is now in 4th grade and is hard at work with her new subjects. She had her first spelling test last week and got a 105% which she informed me is an A+++! :)

Luke is hard at work as well. They are working on colors and writing their name. He's been a pro on his colors for a long time now but not so hot on his name. I asked him today who wrote his name on his paper and he said, "I did mama. I used brown because that was the color of the day." He has improved so much since school started. :)

Abby and I are working on her colors, shapes, and body parts. Let me tell ya that teaching her her body parts has been quite interesting. I pointed at her belly button and said, "Abbers that is your belly button." She looks at me and says, "Noooooo, that's my hole" "No its not. Its your belly button." "Mama its my hole. See. Thats not a button. Its a hole." Oh how I love this age.

Sammy boy turned 1 on the 1st of the month. I still can't believe that he's one already. Time sure does fly by. He had a Wonder Pets birthday party on the 4th and family and friends came out to the Camdenton City Park to help us celebrate. :) He got a lot of nice toys and clothes.

Mike is off to drill. He's the acting Commander for the Commander's Cup this weekend at Ft. Leonard Wood. I hope everything goes well for him and they win the cup.

Not much is going on with me. I'm busy doing the normal mom and wife stuff that I always do. Laundry, cleaning, cooking, and unclogging toilets after Abby puts an entire roll of toilet paper down it. :)

July 4, 2010

We had a great time on the 4th of July. Went to Dustin & Michelle's house for a BBQ and then went to the fireworks show off of 65 Hwy in Springfield. It was great and the kids had a good time. Makala liked it but wasn't to impressed because she's seen good firework shows on post. Luke was so excited and got Abby excited as well. We heard, " WOW! Mama look, look mama. Red, blue, Mama look now!" Sammy was amazed at every single speck and color that he saw. Not only did we get to see the show that we went to see but the subdivision that was behind the church parking lot we were parked at had their own fireworks show. We had a great time together and we look foward to next year. :)
