Happy 10th Birthday Makala!

WOW! I can't believe my baby girl is 10 years old as of yesterday. It's amazing how fast time fly's by and how much you can miss in an instant if your not careful. When I look at Luke, Abby, and Sammy I see her when she was little and I see a lot of her in them when they do their quirky little kid things.

I remember when she was into Barney, Sesame Street, Barbies, baby dolls, and loved the color pink. Now its Wizards of Waverly Place, Good Luck Charlie, drawing, stuffed animals, and any color that isn't pink. Don't get me wrong she likes pink but there can't be to much of it and it has to be a certain shade.

She and Abby have a Birthday Party scheduled for next Saturday and I'm sure they won't be disappointed with the gifts they got. They each got a new comforter: Makala a black one, and Abby a pink one. Makala got an ice cream sandwich pillow, owl pillow, purse, attachments for the purse, and a fresh water pearl necklace from her daddy that you have to assemble yourself. Abby got a Hello Kitty pillow, cupcake pillow, dress, Justin Bieber microphone, and  a Justin Bieber teddy bear. Yes its true...... Abby has Bieber Fever.

            My Beautiful daughter, Makala!

Germ Bug & Hot weather

Whatever bug we have had has been a nasty one. Sammy still isn't feeling well and just wants to be cuddled by his mama and dada. Since he's been laying by me the whole weekend I'm starting to get a fever and the sniffles again. Hopefully by Tuesday everyone will  be 100% better and we can enjoy the last couple of weeks we have.

On a better note the kids had a blast outside today. The heat index was up to 105 and the kiddos wanted to play so we let them out for a bit with some water bottles. It didn't take them long to drink them and then the started to get hot again. Mike told them to get some water out of the faucet outside and then they decided to pour it on each other so they can keep cool. Needless to say they had a blast and were drenched from head to toe. After they got tired of that Mike took them to the pool and they went swimming with him. I'm still kicking myself in the butt for not taking pictures of them playing outside with the water bottles and their daddy.

Tomorrow starts a new chapter in my life. I have a personal trainer who has set me up with a meal plan and work out schedule to get me into shape for my Big 30! I'm excited to not only get into shape for my birthday, to make sure I don't gain the Freshman 15, but to just get into shape to be healthy. I can't wait for Mike to see the improvement at his Deployment Ceremony in September and I really can't wait till he see's me on his R&R. ;)

What a crazy week.............

Well its been an eventful week here in the Hanson household. We dropped Makala off at my mom & dad's house for the week. She's been looking forward to it for weeks. She had a great time hanging out with Papa and bumming around the house and they went into town. On Thursday she went to work with Mema and afterwards they went to McDonald's, Wal-Mart, and then home to hangout with Papa.

On Wednesday I started getting sick so I went to bed around 9 p.m. and I didn't wake up till 9:30 the next morning. I was so excited when I woke up to go in Princess Abby's room and wish her a HAPPY 4th Birthday only to see my princess pale as a ghost with her daddy holding a bucket for her while she threw up. I felt so bad for her being sick on her special day.

Later that night Mike started getting a stomach ache and ended up falling asleep on the couch. He felt a little better this morning and then Sammy boy spiked a fever. He ended up taking a long nap and downing two cups of pedialyte and now feels much better. I'm guessing that Luke will be next and then it should be over.

On a positive note I was able to get some stuff done today which made me feel like I got something accomplished even though it was small in comparison to what I still have to do. Here's hoping that our weekend is better than out week. :)

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY ABBY!!!

Today is my sweet Abigail's 4th Birthday. I had so much planned for her and I to do but a germ bug had other plans. I started feeling bad yesterday so I went to bed early to sleep it off and decided to call in sick today so I could have a day with her. The nasty germ bug had plans of its own...... poor Abby is sick. I got up around 9:00 a.m. and went to her room to wish her a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY like I do every year only to find Mike holding a bucket for her while she puked. She was as pale as a ghost and just looked absolutely miserable. I looked at Mike and he knew just what I was thinking...... present!

Poor Mike had to run to the in the pouring rain to get her gift out of the van. (We hide gifts there because they are like their mama and will search the house till they find them.) He brings it in puts it in a bag and brings it to her. She smiles a little bit, sets up, opens it, and smiles. It's Lots-o Bear. We unwrap it and give it to her but nothing. She doesn't want to cuddle with it at all. "Put it on the top bed," she said. All she's asked for was a Lots-O Bear and now wants nothing to do with it. I told Mike when she feels better she will like it but he thinks she doesn't like it because he's the bad guy on Toy Story 3. Well as luck would have it she now feels better and LOVES her Lots-O Bear. :D

Everything is almost back to the way it was in the Hanson Household. Makala will be home tomorrow night, the house has been bleached, we finally have grocery's after putting of shopping for a week, and the kids rooms are almost completely switched. Now to get my self prepped for my workouts, food menus, and all of us to start school this Fall.

                    Princess Abby!
